L is for LACKHAM MUSEUM OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL LIFE TRUST

This charitable Trust was initially formed in 2000 through combining members of the Friends of Lackham Museum and the Wiltshire Life Society. In a unique partnership, the newly created Wiltshire College generously agreed to manage the Museum collections on behalf of the Trust and secure its long-term future.

Through joining the Trust, you can passively or actively support it in its promotion of a wider understanding of the agricultural practices and rural life of Wiltshire through the preservation and interpretation of the Museum collections.

Trust Members also have the opportunity to enjoy a range of benefits including:

  • Social events including an annual coach excursion and themed Christmas meal.
  • Participating in volunteer and fundraising activities.
  • Newsletters are published twice a year.
  • An Autumn/Winter season of topical lectures.
  • FREE admission to Lackham Country Park – Museum, Gardens, Animal Park and Woodland Walk.
  • Participation in the activities of the Trust's Friends Group.

To apply for membership please contact:

Peter Matthewman, The Membership Secretary, Lackham Museum of Agriculture and Rural Life Trust, 5 Tudor Close, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 3UL.
